How much commission do I earn?

You start at 20% on every sale you refer — from your very first order. Once your referred revenue in a calendar month exceeds $500, you automatically move to Silver (25%). Reaching $1,000/month in referred revenue advances you to Gold (30%). Tier upgrades are applied to the following month's commission calculations. There is no cap on earnings at any tier.

How are Africa-based affiliates paid?

Affiliates in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Egypt, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Senegal, Cameroon, and Ivory Coast receive payment via Payoneer, which supports local bank transfers in most African countries. Affiliates outside Africa receive payment via PayPal. The minimum payout is $50 USD. Payments are processed on the 1st–5th of each month for the previous month's verified earnings. Commission is calculated after any refunds or chargebacks.

How long does the affiliate cookie last?

The referral cookie window is 30 days. If someone clicks your link on any day and makes a purchase within 30 calendar days, the commission is credited to your account — regardless of whether they bought immediately or returned later. The ?ref= parameter in your link is the tracking mechanism. We recommend using UTM parameters in addition (covered in the affiliate toolkit) to track performance in Google Analytics as a secondary data source.

You can also drive traffic directly to the 17 free courses to build trust with your audience before they discover the paid products. The affiliate toolkit includes a product recommendation guide that maps product collections to specific audience types — cloud YouTubers, bootcamp instructors, HR professionals, and more.

Is there a cost to join? Can I be removed from the program?

Joining is completely free — there are no monthly fees, no minimum activity requirements, and no commitment. Affiliates who use prohibited promotion methods (spam, misleading claims, paid ads bidding on Citadel Cloud branded keywords without approval) will have their account suspended. All other affiliates remain active indefinitely. We reserve the right to modify commission rates with 30 days notice. Earned commissions are always honoured under the rate structure that was active when the referred sale occurred.

Do I need to be a customer to be an affiliate?

You do not need to have purchased anything to become an affiliate. That said, affiliates who have used the products personally produce significantly more effective promotions. We recommend starting with the free courses to understand the platform — they are genuinely free with no credit card required. When you can describe specific modules, instructors, and outcomes from personal experience, your audience converts at a higher rate.
